Sport & Performance Psychology
Having grown up immersed in elite sport and later representing Victoria and Australia in rowing, lived experience shapes how Dr Addy supports athletes to perform, adapt, and thrive under pressure.
Group Presentations
Dr Addy offers presentations to sporting groups, schools, academies, and clubs on mental health and performance-related topics. These sessions address common challenges faced by athletes and coaches, including managing performance pressure and expectations, responding to setbacks and mistakes, navigating confidence fluctuations, balancing sport with school, work and relationships, and supporting wellbeing within team environments. Presentations are practical, interactive, and evidence-informed, with a focus on strategies that can be applied immediately in training and competition settings.
Performance Psychology
Dr Addy offers individual sport and performance psychology support for athletes and high-performing individuals, using evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to your sport, role, and stage of development. This work may focus on attention and focus, confidence, emotional regulation, motivation, perfectionism, and performance anxiety. Dr Addy has worked with athletes across school, national, and international levels, and adapts her approach to suit both emerging and elite performance environments.
Clinical Psychology for Athletes
Dr Addy understands how to adapt psychological approaches to the real-world demands of elite sport and so offers clinically informed psychological support for athletes, both current and retired. This includes support with injury and setback adjustment, transition and retirement from sport, identity challenges, disordered eating, low mood, depression, and burnout. Her approach integrates performance knowledge with clinical expertise to support long-term wellbeing alongside performance and life transitions.
